Gini,
I've never seen a certificate like this. What year did she come, and did you have to pay for the certificate? Thanks for showing this.

Thank you Barbara and Sandra for stopping by. It is a great document.

As I was digging into Marie a bit more today, I found her "Passenger Manifest" list along with a photo of the ship "Kroonland". She departed from Antwerp, Holland, arriving at Ellis Island on May 31, 1920. According to her "Passenger Certificate", Marie immigrated at the young age of 25 years old. My hubbies father never knew of this information and was quite excited to hear about it. Marie died when my father-in-law was only two years old.

Perhaps I should have picked "Treasure Chest Thursday" or "Sentimental Sunday" for this one!

I love that Certificate of Registration. It always means a lot to the family.

My cousin registered my grandmother with a certificate like this. We all got the copies and she has the orginal. Whenever someone visits Ellis Island we take photos of her name on the wall of honor. We have twenty years of photos, with various children and spouses, inlaws and cousins. Your post brought back lots of good memories!
