• Dr. W. L. Laulace, of Horse Branch, was called to the bedside of his daughter, Mrs. Walter Jarboe, Monday of last week. 
• Mrs. Bell Frymire and children, of Horse Branch, were called to the bedside of her sister, Mrs. Walter Jarboe, Wednesday, who is ill of consumption.

• John Bates and Len Taul were in Louisville last week attending the Republican State Convention. 
• Barney Dyarnett and Garfield Burden have purchased a drilling outfit and are drilling a well for Mr. Len Taul this week. 
• McQuady may have a new depot. The officials of the road were here last week and decided that the old depot is inadequate for the large amount of freight that is handled here.

• Miss Nannie Ryan, of Pisgah, was here shopping last Tuesday.
• Curtis Pate was the guest of Miss Mayme Seaton last Sunday.
• Wick Pate and Nat Taul sold to Clark Owen last week a fine flock of lambs. 
• Mr. and Mrs. James Furrow were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Taul last Sunday. 
• Wm Tabeling and two daughters of Wichita, Kan., are here visiting friends and relatives.
• Misses Maggie, Lillie and Minnie Bates, of Pisgah, were the guests of their aunt Mrs. Samuel Taul, last week. 
• Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Hawkins visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Pate, at Cloverport last Saturday and Sunday. 
• Mrs. Milly Pate, who has been visiting her grand-daughter, Mrs. Alfred Hawkins, and other relatives, has returned home.
• Mrs. Samuel Taul left last Saturday for Hites Run, where she will visit her daughter, Mrs. John Elder, and other relatives. 
• Every farmer should hear the speech of H. B. Sherman, national organizer of the American Society of Equity. He will speak at the Fourth of July picnic given by W. N. Pate, John O'Riley, Huse Alexander and Jubal Hook at Hardinsburg.

    L.C. Taul of McQuady, made a business trip to this place Tuesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Tabeling, of Wichita, Kas., are visiting relatives here. Mr. Tabeling is a Breckenridge county boy who went to Wichita a few years ago, and married a Wichita lady some months since.

Several Store Houses and Residence Reported Going Up. 

Ryan & Tabeling are erecting a store house 

YOUNG BOY DIES.

     Roy Pate, the eight year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Pate, died May 14 and was buried the following day in the Pisgah grave yard.  He was a well informed boy for one of his age and had a splendid disposition. His last words were "Lord take me."  Though he said he hated to leave his loved ones, he was willing to do God's will.

Mrs. Vate Pate is on the sick list.

W.B. Taul and wife visited his father, Mr. Joe Taul, near Clover Creek, Saturday and Sunday.

S.A. Pate has moved back here after a resident of about three years at West Point.

TARFORK

Chas. Tabeling has the mumps.

Mrs. L.C. Taul continues in poor health.
L.C. Taul has returned from Louisville, where he has been to replenish his stock of dry goods and groceries. 

Our spring school is progressing nicely with Miss Maud Ryan as teacher. 

Tom Tabeling, wife and baby, of Ruth, were recent visitors in this Neighborhood. He sold his home interest while here to his sister Dorris.

Miss Mary Tabeling visited at Askins last week. 

All the sick are about well except Mrs. Mary Dunn and she is improving. 

Mrs. Ruth Wright nee Taul, of Missouri, formerly of this county, visited relatives here.

Len Weatherholt had a very painful arm, the result of breaking the member falling while attempting to carry a heavy stick of wood.
