Merry Christmas to you and yours ~

A little Christmas cheer from my home to yours ~
~ Merry Christmas ~
~ Frohe Weihnachten ~

Photobucket

The Christmas tree that stands so beautiful and tall, adorned with ornaments as old as I am . . . belonged to my beautiful mom (1933~2010).  I was blessed to inherit her family room tree (she always had two artificial trees standing in her home ) and ornaments. At first, it was difficult but as I continued to decorate for the holidays . . . I felt surrounded by her and all Christmas things she loved so much. I have to say, it feels good, and I think now the hard part will be having to take it all down.

I also inherited a few pieces of her Thomas Kinkade Christmas Village collection . . . there are many more pieces to the collection I hope to own someday. It's a beautiful village and each time I look at it . . . I smile and mom warms my heart and I know she is here with our family.

~ Happy Holidays and warm Christmas wishes to all of the genea~bloggers and your families . . . to our friends and family  . . . to remembering all of those who have gone before us, keeping our Ancestors close to our hearts ~ and to making many new memories in the New Year for generations to come . May all your wishes come true ~

Gini, I have looked at your card several times, enlarged it too. It's simply more than beautiful. I hope to see it next year as well. Thanks for the time and effort it took to put it together for your friends to see.

Barbara, thank you so much . . . so much of my home is now filled with my mom's Christmas treasures mixed with mine . . . not that "things" make our Christmas but the spirit of mom, our Ancestors and the reason for Christmas surrounds us . . . those are the blessings . . . we love Christmas and I'm so glad you feel the warmth from our home to yours. Merry Christmas to you and your family, Barbara . . . .

Loving all the photos Gini! What software did you use? Also, what did you use to make your header for the blog? I love it. I so need to work on mine.

Thank you, Terri. I use Picasa and the collage feature. I have tried learning Photo Shop elements and can do very few little things there but Picasa is way more friendly and I am much more comfortable with it. My blog header was made by a friend . . . I am in no way that talented but it was made with Picasa I believe. I did add the photos . . . not very well but they are there. Happy New Year to you and yours!

I absolutely love your collage! I hope to see it linked to Little Red House on Monday's Mosaics.
