My sympathy goes out to you for the loss of a brother, way to early --- and blessings for that heartfelt connection --- blessings, indeed, for sharing that connection with us.
Thank you all for your kinds words and support. This really is a bittersweet story that I think I will be ready to share in more detail in a post sometime, but I grew up never having met my father, when I did, I found out that I had two half brothers!
Right away I met John...we are very close to this day. John and his wife, Myhunghee will be visiting me in March and I am going to be an aunt in August! The photo in the center of the collage, left to right is Michael, John and my father.
Michael and I became very close over the phone and he was actually planning on flying out to visit John and I (John came out and stayed here).
Michael never made it...he was killed in a very bad car accident. Five years later...my father passed away, I never had the opportunity to meet him either.
How I wished I could have met them both, but at least I was blessed to have connected with them, even if over the phone, through letters and pictures! I am grateful for that.
Wanted to send you an Emma a little ray of Sunshine from TEXAS since you can't come and visit. Hope you enjoy! Stop over at Barbwire & Roses to pick it up.
What a beautiful tribute to your brother as usual you did a stunning page. I really need to learn how to do that! Blog looks fantastic! I've not been making the rounds for a bit but feel that I'm coming around. Hugs my friend -cindy
